Obstacles

What are the temopary setbacks that we face to get ahead? I wanted to share a some that I have experience with my upcoming project?

1.)Are you an Nonprofit Organization? when you are looking for sponsors some would rather work with N.O. because they receive a tax break.

2.)Is this a school project? No, but it will be at High school. when I was ask this question it amaze me how some people couldn't believe that you would do something to this natural without it being school related.

3.)Not interested? I couldn't understand why? after I had given my whole pitch. with some one I said the name, they hung up on me.

4.)This is a scholar type project? basically they didn't feel like I had the education background to pull of a project of this maganitude.

5.)Yes we looked over the prospoal and will call you? It has been 3 years and I am still waiting on the call.

6.)We don't sponsor indivdual? this kinda took me back because I watch tv and see that celebrity's get endorsed all the time for concerts, and just because what they bring to the table and this was for a good cause.

7.)What are you getting out of it? I am not making any money off the project I just want to give something back.

8.)It's never going to happen you are wasting your time? No when you have a purpose you are never wasting your time. 3 years later I am still working on it.

9.)That's all you talk about? When you are passionate you are suppose to talk about it, if you don't who will?

10.)You should do something else?

11.)Why don't you go back to school? Um I have been for the last 3 years I had to do so much research and I am still doing some to understand what I want to do. and it is a challenge everyday but I love what I do.

12.)It is taking time for me? this person in my life at the time didn't understand me or my vision.

Those are just a few, but with anything that you do,you have something or someone that can stand in the way of your dreams,but you have to keep moving.

Stick with it

I know often times in life we start things and never finish what we started. for various reason: lose interest, can't afford it, someone deters us from an idea or decision, we didn't seek God frist, we are scared or we don't believe enough in ourselves that we can do it. that we can make it.

As go through this journey of starting a business of my own and make a name for myself alot of things come to mind. I watch alot of reality tv and I don't watch it for the reason that you might think, I don't watch it for the entertainment aspect or the that could me. I watch it as a learning tool in the unknown, what I don't know and want to know more about. most of what I see is anything is possible if you believe in yourself and ask God to point you in the direction that he wants you to go in. Even if it doen't happen the frist or even second time, that if you stick with you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to.

One of my favorite is I want to work for Diddy 2 because it gives you look at Diddy's work enthic and how he became who he is today, and that enthic has pushed not only him but his team to greatness. to work at the level he does and be successful but still be so passionate and driven towards his business and goals. is amazing to see and witness by the product he offers, how he is so hands on in everything that he does.

But he also teachs you the important of balance, how you have to be able to balance your work, family and even time for yourself. (that he is currenly working on) Because each thing that you invest your time in, needs individval attendion.

You have to work at each thing like it is the only thing is important at the moment, and that is a hard to do because so times you get so wrapped in one area that you often negelect the other areas in your life that need that attendion as wellI also watch the biography channel it always amaze me the background the stars come from, they come from nothing to something. (Rags to Riches story) But what makes them different from me? from you? what do they have that I don't? Why are they on tv and I sitting at home watching them on t.v? the only real differences from me to them, is how bad they wanted to make it and what were they willing to give up and commit to there dream.

You often hear them speak of a prom or dance they didn't get a chance to attend, but they traveled all over the world. Or how they slept on a friend's floor while they working odd jobs until they made it, or live in there car. but they all share one important factor is that they stuck with there dream, they never give up on themselves or there dream. they kept at it until it happen. until that vision in there head was reality. they didn't listen to there family or friends they did what they had to do.

They did what made them happy, they live there dream and not the dream someone else had for their life.

So what I am saying no matter what, hang in there and dream as big as you what and keep moving forward towards your mark. stick in there and see it through, and if you have given up or stopped dreaming it is never to late to start believing in yourself again and going for it.
